Karl has over 13 years of experience including surgery, intensive care, orthopaedics, amputee rehabilitation, and specialised musculoskeletal care. He collaborates with the Maltese Olympic Committee, Malta Basketball Association, and Malta Football Association. Karl has also led physiotherapy for Premier and Challenge League teams.
Karl’s passion lies in precise diagnosis and effective treatment. “I enjoy helping people of all ages by offering a patient centred approach via exercise prescription, manual therapy which includes joint mobilisations, acupuncture, strapping and taping but most importantly, through education.” His efficient treatments help patients resume normal activities sooner.
At YUE’s aquatic centre she uses her skills to combine the warmth and properties of water together with therapeutic exercise for the treatment of patients suffering from various conditions, including, chronic low back pain, painful arthritic joints, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and muscular aches & pains.
She also provides rehabilitation for total-knee or hip replacements, fractures and sports injuries.
Karl’s main focus is treating patients with evidence based preventative and rehabilitative exercises together with other modalities such as manual therapy, acupuncture and taping. He believes that an individualised, goal oriented rehab programme will lead the patient to their objectives and a better quality of life. Karl further believes that through education the patient is empowered to better manage their injuries.
Being passionate about exercise and movement, in his free time Karl enjoys going to the gym and out for a run.
